  • Sterilization pouch questions

My questions are regarding sterilization pouches such as in the image below. I would appreciate your opinions and if you know of any resources I can access to research this more. I had to run to a birth before my suture kit had time to air dry after it went through the autoclave. Due to the pouch being a little wet, the seal opened on one small ...

Hi Susan, Yes, from my understandning you can purchase the "Enchanted Birth" film for €14.00 plus shipping. Goto http://www.naitreenchantes.com/help_N.E..html and click on the "Faire un don" button. • Re: Urgent: perineal repair 5 days PP?

Long overdue update: Client saw her OBGYN in emerg on day 6 pp. He sutured the tear (more sutures were placed than the usual 3 to 4 along the vaginal mucosa). No debriding was done nor antibiotics given and the tear healed nicely. No complaints about function or esthetics by client. Also came across this study showing no difference in pp ...

RE:  Does anyone know if this beautiful birth video is hosted anywhere else? It looks like Daily Motion removed it because of nudity or what ever. I would like to know too.  I never copied it before it was taken down, figuring it would remain up as a link.  I've tried searchiing for it.  It was a tri- lingual video ...

Worstfriend, thanks for your reply. I am actually at the woman's home about to decide with her what to do . Did/do you have any difficulties doing Kegel excercises?

  • Urgent: perineal repair 5 days PP?

I have successfully used comfrey leaf on 1st and 2nd degree tears until now. I have a 5 day PP mom who opted for using comfrey leaf instead of sutures for a shallow 2nd degree tear. It approximated well after birth and was healing nicely by day 3. Today it is gaping and the two edges have healed over, separately. The local hospital is ...

  • Re: Rh Negative and one more question

Hi lisamarie,  Just to add what HappyGrammie has said: Rhogam is an anti-D (Rho) Immunoglobulin which prevents mothers from developing antibodies to Rh positive blood. Antibodies would harm all Rh positive babies in future pregnancies. If you had previously carried an Rh positive baby PLUS developed Rh positive antibodies you CANNOT have a ...
