We usually don't see any problems with nipple piercings and of course, recommend that mamas take out the jewelry when they're nursing little ones. Definitely a funky latch! Has she tried baby-led or "laid back" breastfeeding? This works like a charm in the overwhelming majority of poor latch situations. If that doesn't do the trick, it could be the anterior frenulum which is too tight.

I don't have any concerns, I just had never heard of it being used for constipation and the mom who emailed me was concerned about using it while breastfeeding. Interesting that you mention sleep because I, too, have been having sleep issues since menopause and would like to sleep through the night. Hmmm ... Might try it.
