I joined this forum about seven years ago when I was pregnant with my first. My second child was a water birth that inspired me to want to become a CPM. Right now I'm researching my options and finishing up my prerequisites. I will be ready to start in the fall or summer of next year. I'm trying to figure out the difference (if there is one) in Fl. between MEAC accredited schools and schools that do not carry that accreditation. Does that have some effect on taking the NARM exam?
Also has anyone heard of the International Institute of Health Care professionals? I googled Fl. midwifery schools and that came up, but I've been working towards this for awhile and I've never heard of them.
Also for student midwives, can you tell me about commuting? I live about three hours away from any midwifery school. How do you handle the commute? Does it become more doable?
In advance thanks for taking the time to answer,
