I believe I have found my calling.

Hi, my name is Blythe and I'm new to this website. I live in southeastern mn. I am currently going to school for an Nursing Assistant program but it has been nagging at me to continue on to a RN program. I am a mother of one but the oldest or six sibling so I feel I have been a mother alot longer. I realized that I wanted to become a midwife when I got pregnant with my son and I started researching homebirth and other natural birthing. I was hooked and I couldnt get enough information. I know schooling is a must but I want to learn so bad. Does anyone know of any way in my area how and where you can learn this way by apprenticing?

    Blythe-

How wonderful that you know you want to be a midwife.  You should contact any local midwives in your area but you may also want to look at some of the introduction workshops offered so you can get more experience and have skills to bring to a midwives practice.

Check out its coming up and looks great.  Good luck
