    Twin VBAC

    Hello Ladies,

I am looking for an experienced midwife who would consider attending a home twin VBAC. The first baby was born by c-section after a face presentation was dscovered in late pushing. The mother is very motivated to have a vaginal birth but conditions in her home city in Canada restrict her to a hospital birth.

    Any suggestions, hints, advice?

    Thanks,

    RIvka

    Dear Rlvka,

You wrote, " Any suggestions, hints, advice?".   Yes!! Insist she find a midwife who wil attend her at home!  She will be very hard pressed to find a caregiver in the western medicine world who will support her desires.

She could come to Hawaii!!  I've done one vbac twin home birth and am up for another!!

    Blessings,

It is difficult for her to find a midwife who will attend her at home ... I agree with you absolutely. I will let her know you are available. Are there places to stay near you?

Where abouts is she in Canada? I know of one midwife in my area (near your area) who is not affiliated with the system. I can't say if she does VBACs or what limitations she puts on her practice, but if it interests you, I could give you her number.

Anyways, I'm just seeing this post now, it may be too late?

Also, Rivka, I was given your name when looking for a doula about 8 years ago! Small world Wink  But for whatever reason you were not available and I ended up with a student doula who got to witness my son being born at home by accident, and all was WELL Big Smile
