It is a 4 minute video of Dr. Andrew Kaunitz, professor of medicine. associate chair of the OB/GYN dept. at the U of Florida, College of Medicine, in Jacksonville, FL, speaking up for women and their lack of choice at attempt at vbac.
He spoke on the decline of trial of labor for vbac, the cause of this (monetary - mal practice insurance rates skyrocketing or non existing and time management for physicians, ie. less time involved for a repeat cs than bedside with a mama) and the time line of vbac. prevalent in the 90's declining rapidly in this decade. What I really thought was good was that he mentioned the escalating long term problems associated with mulitple cs's. Especially escalating acreta rates. He also talked about recovery for a mama being much harder after surgery. He feels it is time for the pendulum to swing back.
There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
"I feel this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong."
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What's right for you--just listen to
The voice that speaks inside."
