Personally, I think if a woman has been drinking Kombucha prior to her pregnancy, she can continue. I got my Kombucha culture from Kombucha America and the guy there says pregnant and nursing women can drink it. I did, but in moderation. It does detox the liver, and it can cause gastrointestinal discomfort and detox symptoms it if you start with a "high dose". If I were just starting out drinking it while pregnant, I'd start with 1 ounce every day for a few days, then two ounces a day for a few days, then three...
Just my two cents. Certainly not scientific evidence either way, but might be helpful.
