    balancing postpartum headaches

mama on day 6 postpartum, horrible headache all day, not touched by allopathic meds.  is hydrated, well-fed, bowels moving fine, normal temp., no uterine tenderness or mastitis.  found out she had these with her first baby for several days.  so, we are thinking hormonal.

does anyone have experience with these?  remedy suggestions?

i am bringing her encapsulated placenta tomorrow and i bet that will help tremendously.  thought about clary sage e.o. also.

    other ideas?  homeopathy?

    thanks!

I found for those weird hormone headaches post partum besides placenta (which will really help) is to have her put her feet in a tub of really hot water, as hot as she can stand up to the ankles (she can add salt or epsom salts or lavender oil etc.) and put ice or frozen cloths on her neck and forehead.  Litlle trick, do it a couple times a day and no need for OTC for relief.

Massage can help too, get one outside, if she can.   Chiro visit.  It's all about helping move that concentrate of hormones from the system.
