Looking for a midwife to come to Honduras!

I live in Honduras with my family as missionaries, we are currently working on opening a clinic and birthing center. A friend of mine (originally from Texas) is due with her first baby in July 2010. Just recently her midwife from the US cancelled her trip here to deliver the baby so we desperately need someone to come here to help. I'm a Canadian certified doula able to help with the birth if we are able to get someone to come. Please contact me immediately at you

I am sorry I cannot come at this time.

your post caught my eye though and I would like to know more about the clinic/birthing center that you talked about. I am very interested in US midwives working in Latin America. I have been researching midwives in Ecuador and Bolivia and am looking for people to talk too who have existing clinics open and how its going for them.

Do you have a website? what mission agency are you with (if any)
