    Re: TTC/ Expecting in 2010

     Hello ladies!

How is everyone doing? I'm way out of the loop :)

Its been a long while since I last posted. I've missed you all. I know I said our third would be our last, but we truly wanted one more before cutting the tubes. Today I'm 10 weeks, been sick like I never knew was possible since week 4. I threw my back out last night dry heaving, made a few more unforgetable memories lol!

I am relieved I'm as sick as I am though, I'm confidant this baby will make it to term.

    Spring is nearly here!!! Yay!

All I know is that dleiberately trying to conceive is hard work.

Feel like I'm ovu;lating for a second time this month. All though that first feeling wasn't correct by dates and now today on the full moon I'm ovulating.  Hope my Hubby's got some decent swimmers left...

     Hey! Aloha!

Thanks, its wonderful to see you too! Wouldn't I LOVE to be there for the birth! It would be amazing!!!

Other things in life? Hmm...? The same :D Nothing much has changed besides the children growing. How about you? I have an itch to move out of California, somewhere with clean beautiful air & affordably priced property. We bought our home two years ago, if I could sell it without negative equity I'd pack it up. This pregnancy has shown me how oblivious I was to the local pollution, feels like I'm half breathing! Just looked this up, wow!

"Kern County has the worst particle pollution in the nation, according to the 2009 State of the Air Report released today by the American Lung Association. Particle pollution is the most dangerous and deadly of the outdoor air pollutants that are widespread in America.". http://www.turnto23.com/news/19324655/detail.html

Hey, maybe it is time to leave....

    Woo, congratulations azores! :)

I hear you on the m/s - i was WAY sicker this time than last, but it sounds like you're coming off even worse than i did!  The reassurance is somewhat worth it i guess, though i can remember that wearing thin at times!

I'm in the 3rd trimester!  My ticker is one day out....lol.  I was officially 6 months pregnant yesterday (due date is 1/6/10) and i cannot BELIEVE i have 3 months still to go.  I can't wait to hear the next birth has happened....looking at you kelly, every new babe is me one step closer to holding my own.

    Re: TTC/ Expecting in 2010

Congratulations, Azores!  Yes, April is right, this babe will be a blessing.  The M/S makes it so miserable, though.  I hope you're feeling better soon. I'm holding my little 5 week old girl now and M/S is a distant memory, thankfully.  :-)

Kelly, I'm so sorry you've been so ill and dealing with chicken pox.  It is so amazing how God gives extra grace at those hard times when you think you'd be stretched beyond the limit if it weren't for Him.  I experienced much grace this weekend too.  We had a 4 day power outage due to 31 inches of very wet and heavy snow, and it turned out to be a big blessing rather than a huge nuisance.  I was surprised I didn't go nuts, but it was quite the opposite.  I actually enjoyed the quiet and simplicity.

LifeAgift, I totally know how hard really trying to conceive is.  It can make a person crazy!!  We had years of it and it was very hard.  Another trick: plain robitussin for making your cervical fluids more wet and slippery around ovulation (especially if you only get creamy and not the eggwhite stuff).

marie, I was worried about PPH too and even with my increased risk, I had very little bleeding this time around.  Eat those leafy greens.  :-)

worstfriend, you're coming along quickly now.  I'm glad you're doing well.  Are you enjoying having an independent midwife?

I've been to the doctor last week for my varicose veins that got so inflamed and hardened after the birth.  He was somewhat surprised how bad they were and sent me for a doppler ultrasound to rule out DVT.  It was negative for DVT, but the hardened and sore varicose veins are inflamed and thrombosed.  :-(  Its all superificial, so its nothing serious like a DVT would be.  They still hurt, but not as badly.  I'm on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories for them and I have an appointment to see a vein specialist next week.  My primary doctor did not hesitate to say that my insurance would pay for the procedure to fix my legs since I have a medical problem with them.  I was relieved to hear that.

    Take care everyone.

Y'all scared the patootie out of me, ladies!  As a moderator, I can see portions of new posts and all I saw was "Congratulations, Azores!" and  "MS makes it so miserable" and I flipped out. In my head, I'm thinking, "Azores has MS???? Oh my gosh!!" As in MS = multiple sclerosis. At least I know my bp can soar and I don't stroke out immediately!

Robsgirl, Congratulations on your sweet baby girl. Give her a big love from me, a big love! Hope those vein issues heal soon, I'm prone to prolapses it seems & dread the thought knowing how painful it can be. Prayers♥

LOL!!! Aw Susan you're a sweetie! I've missed you! Hope all's been going well with you & your family. Much love!

    Re: TTC/ Expecting in 2010

Hello to everyone!! I had another visit with my midwife todaySmile I'm still measuring a bit small but had some growth, baby is wiggly (understatement!!), and heart tones are great so my midwife wasn't concernedYes. I did lose 3lbs because of all the illness but I figured that was the case. I'm having a hard time eating very much due to feeling like I have no room. I get full very quickly and have been having a lot of reflux (I've been taking Nexium since November but have been having to use Tums and Maalox lately for relief). My weight gain is now about 16lbs over my pre-pg weight....can't say I'm unhappy about thatBig Smile.

My next appt is on the 25th and then I go every week. Can't believe I'm almost at that point already! I went over my birth plan with the midwife today...I was a bit nervous about it because I really didn't know how she would react to some of my requests. She did encourage the metabolic screening which I'd like to waive and she also questioned me about the herbal bath. She said she has no problem with it but the nursing staff probably will so I just need to make sure my husband makes it clear to them that I'm spending time with the baby and don't want to be interrupted...that they can do their vitals afterwardsSmile. We'll see how it goes...makes me feel a bit intimidated and powerless to make my own choices but I'm also feeling hormonally weepy/moody lately...I'm sure I'll gain more resolve between now and thenSmile. I was encouraged that she said if baby and I are doing well and baby's pediatrician agrees (which I think he will) we'll be able to go home as early as 6hrs after the birth. It's important to me to be with my other kids so I'm hopefulYes.

I got my RRLs today and will be drinking my quart of tea dailySmile. I'll be starting my 5wk herbs next week already! I've been taking liquid chlorophyll and Floradix iron the last couple of months and have really noticed an increase in my energy levels (barring my bout with pneumonia). Once April is here I'll be considered "full term"...I'm not in a big rush but I'm looking forward to being within those last three weeks...just knowing it's right around the corner and baby can safely arriveSmile. I'll probably start the EPO capsules vaginally at that point (I generally have a long latent phase of labor because my cervix just doesn't like to budge...I used the EPO last time and really noticed a difference in how my cervix felt and how quickly it effaced once contrx started). I started doing some perineal massage too with Vit E oil in the areas I know have scarring.

My sister-in-law was due 5 days before me but her baby decided to arrive 6wks early! He was born Tuesday and was transferred to a larger hospital for breathing support until his lungs mature. Praying he'll turn a corner and be able to go home soon! He's doing fine...just needs to grow a bit more. It's stressful for mom and dad though who haven't been able to see him much and also have a 3yr old at home (he's in Chicago and they're about an hour away in good traffic but they're having car trouble...actually had to buy a new car today). Mom is pumping though and baby is now getting breastmilk with fortifier. Makes me feel a bit more patient for my little one to finish "cooking"Big Smile.

Anyway, thanks for taking the time to "listen"

Lifeagift...hoping to hear from you soon...been thinking about you!

After a very busy day yesterday I went to bed with a backache, pelvic fullness, loose stools, and some heavy menstrual-type cramping. Woke up this morning and have been passing thick mucus all day but no more cramping (mucus is clear). I "checked" my cervix and am dilated about 2cm (wasn't dilated at all last week) and my cervix is very soft and low but not much effacement. Baby is definitely lower...I noticed my belly had "fallen" a couple of days ago. I've been able to eat without refluxing and it's a lot easier to breathe...using the potty every 10mins though Smile

Anyway, I'd like to hang on to this baby for a couple more weeks so am praying that's all the "activity" until then! Going to try to take it a bit easier but not sure how...need to start using the "no" word more often in regards to friends/extended family Smile

    Take Care!

Haven't checked Cervix lately but got a NOT PREGNANT on a digital Monday 3/15

Moontime was due 3/12- 3/14 (allowing time for the short FEB month) but still nothing

Got one more digital left I'll retest Sat/ Sun if necessary but I so hate the 3min wait, the uncertainty and the starting another cycle of TTC.

Funny thing is I felt a little crampy a hour after testing and thought for sure I would have started by now. Still drowsy daily, tingly breast and headachey past sevral days.

    Uuugggghhh!

I've never had negative preggo test since TTC this past July thru now and a feel like I've had a 1/2 dozen already.

Hangign in there... full of gratitude for the awesome brilliant kiddos I do have and trying to move forward with the rest of my life plans knowing that when ever my abby arrives he/she will be a welcomed interuption!
